Common Core and NGSS
Is there a homeschool curriculum aligned to Common Core and NGSS?
Yes: Clareza Academy's mathematics and English follow the Common Core State Standards and its science follows the Next Generation Science Standards, from kindergarten through twelfth grade, and you can read every unit, skill and objective before paying to check the alignment yourself.
What the alignment covers
The 14 math courses and 12 English courses follow the Common Core. The 11 science courses follow NGSS. The course pages and the scope and sequence page say so.
Why it matters for a secular family
A science curriculum built to NGSS has already made its decision about evolution, the age of the earth and climate, and teaches them as the scientific consensus.
If your child may go back to school
A receiving school usually asks what was covered. The printable scope and sequence lists every course and unit in teaching order, and the transcript lists what was taught and mastered.
Check it yourself
Every course is readable in full with no account: every unit, skill and learning objective in teaching order, on the course pages and on one printable scope and sequence page.
What this is not
- Common Core covers math and English, and NGSS covers science. There is no separate claim of alignment to a social studies, health or arts standard.
- Alignment is not accreditation. Clareza is not accredited.
- It is not a state test prep program.
