An AI teacher, and what you can check
Is an AI tutor safe for my child, and can I see what it says?
You can see what it says: in Clareza Academy, parents can read every conversation Clara, the AI teacher, has with their child, kept for 30 days, and since no web page can honestly promise that an AI is safe, this one sets out what you can check for yourself.
Clara is an AI, and your child is told
Clara is an artificial intelligence, not a human tutor, and the site never implies she is one. She runs on models from Anthropic and OpenAI.
You can read every word
From the parent side you can open any lesson and read the whole conversation between Clara and your child, in order, with no summary in between. Chats are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically.
She teaches a fixed course
Every course's units, skills and questions are fixed and published, and every lesson she teaches follows a plan written by the curriculum's author, a former teacher with a PhD in education. She does not improvise the curriculum, and she is a teacher at work, not an open chatbot.
If a child writes something worrying
If your child writes something that suggests they may be hurt or in danger, that day's chat is checked straight away and, if it looks real, you are emailed the same day so a person can follow up.
See a lesson before your child does
Three complete sample lessons at /sample need no account and no card. The guide at /resources/how-clara-teaches explains what Clara does and what she deliberately does not.
What this is not
- This page cannot promise an AI is safe for your child. It only describes what you can check.
- Clara can be wrong. Treat her explanations as you would any teacher's, and read the conversations.
- Clara is there for schoolwork. She is not a counselor, therapist or medical professional.

Questions parents ask
Can I see what the AI says to my child?
Yes. Parents can open any lesson and read the whole conversation in order. Chats are kept for 30 days and then deleted.
Is Clara a real person?
No. Clara is an artificial intelligence, and Clareza says so plainly.
Does the AI make up the lessons?
No. Each course's units, skills and questions are fixed and published before your child sees them, and Clara teaches that course.
What happens if my child says something worrying to the AI?
If a child writes something that suggests they may be hurt or in danger, the chat is checked that day and, if it looks real, the parent is emailed the same day.
