Accreditation, honestly
Is an online homeschool curriculum accredited, and does it need to be?
Clareza Academy is not accredited and does not issue a diploma, and almost no homeschool curriculum is, because accreditation applies to schools, and in most states a homeschool family is its own school, so what matters instead is good records: hours, a transcript and evidence of what was learned.
Curriculum is not a school
Clareza is a curriculum for parent-led homeschooling. The parent is the educator of record and is responsible for meeting the state's homeschool requirements.
What "accredited" usually means in this market
Anyone claiming their curriculum is accredited is usually selling an umbrella school, which is a different product from a curriculum.
What colleges look at
Colleges in the United States admit homeschool graduates on transcript, portfolio and test scores. They look for course names they recognise, a math sequence that reaches at least Algebra II, and a transcript that matches the rest of the application.
What Clareza gives you instead
Hours that log themselves, mastery tracked per skill, and a transcript on Clareza Academy letterhead with grades derived from mastery and a GPA weighted by hours.
Being straight about it
- Clareza is not accredited, and it does not issue a diploma or transfer credit on its own.
- The transcript is the parent's record. A receiving school or a college decides what it accepts.
- Nothing here is legal advice on your state's requirements.

Questions parents ask
Is Clareza Academy accredited?
No. It is a curriculum for parent-led homeschooling, not a school, and it does not issue a diploma. It prints a transcript of what was taught and mastered.
Does a homeschool curriculum need to be accredited?
Usually not. Accreditation applies to schools, and in most states your homeschool is the school. What matters is documentation.
Will colleges accept a homeschool transcript?
US colleges admit homeschool graduates on transcript, portfolio and test scores, and accreditation of the curriculum is not something they require.
