Games, and how to turn them off
Does Clareza have learning games, and can I turn off the timers?
Yes, Clareza Academy has nine learning games for grades 3 to 12, and they use timers, and some use lives, but they are one optional way to practise, and a parent can switch on the "No timers" Learning Support for a child, which hides every game.
What the games are
From any lesson, a child in Grades 3 to 12 can pick one of nine games: Reel Island (fishing), Boss Battle, Fort Builder, Lane Runner, Family Race, Champion Duel, Never Look Down, Arena Brawl and Deep Dig. Each has a timer. Right answers earn coins to spend building their own world, under My World.
Every answer still counts
Every question in a game counts toward mastery the same way it does in a lesson, and questions a child missed in earlier lessons come back as review.
Games are one of the ways to practise
After the lesson a child chooses how to practise. Read & Recall, which every lesson has, is study then a quiz with the notes closed, and has no timer. Worked Example and Spot the Mistake appear where a lesson has material for them.
The "No timers" support
Switch on "No timers" in a child's Learning Supports and the games are hidden for that child. It is also part of the Math support and Low-pressure mode, and it is what the IEP accommodations "extended time" and "untimed tests" map to.
Being straight about it
- The games are timed and some count streaks. We do not claim otherwise.
- They are new, from October 2026, and still learning. Tell us what does not work.
- Some games are hard or impossible to use with a screen reader alone.
