For the tired parent
I'm overwhelmed homeschooling. Am I doing enough?
If your child is learning a bit more each week in reading and math and you are meeting your state's rules, you are probably doing enough, since teaching one child at home usually takes far less time than a school day. Clareza Academy can take lesson planning, grading and record keeping off your plate.
Shrink the list
Reading, writing and math most days, and the rest a few times a week, is a common core for many families. Drop what is not working before adding anything.
Know what was covered
A lot of worry comes from not knowing. In Clareza the dashboard shows what each child worked on, mastered and got stuck on, and hours log themselves.
Look after yourself too
Rest days, a co-op or a friend who homeschools, and a simpler week all count. If you feel low for weeks, talk to your doctor.
What this is not
- A curriculum cannot fix burnout. Rest and support matter more than any program.
- In kindergarten to Grade 2, Clareza still needs you for the hands-on lessons.

Questions parents ask
How do I know if I am doing enough?
Your child is making steady progress, you can show what was covered, and you meet your state's rules, which are summarised at /homeschooling-in.
How many hours a day should homeschool take?
Usually far less than a school day. There is an answer by age at /homeschool-curriculum/what-a-homeschool-day-looks-like.
Does Clareza do the planning?
Yes. Every course is sequenced and every lesson is written, and from Grade 3 Clara teaches the lessons.
