Start any day of the year

There is no enrolment window and no semester. You set a grade, and your child starts at whatever lesson makes sense, including going back to where they first got lost.

Mastery sets the pace, not the calendar

Every module is mastery-paced: proving a skill early opens the next one the same day, and struggling slows the course down automatically instead of marching on. Lessons are units and lessons, not weeks, and a unit is a body of work, not a date.

A teacher inside every lesson

Clara introduces the concept, asks questions, reads the answer and, when it is wrong, explains what went wrong rather than marking it. Self-paced here does not mean a child alone with a worksheet. You can read every conversation afterwards from the parent side.

The grade is a setting

You choose the grade for each child and can change it any time. You can also add or remove individual courses from the whole K-12 catalog, so a child can be ahead in maths and on grade in writing.

The whole K-12 sequence in one place

71 courses from learning-to-read through Precalculus: 14 maths, 12 English, 11 science, 14 social studies, plus health, PE, art, music, computer science and world languages. Science is aligned to NGSS and maths and English to the Common Core. It runs in a browser.

The records keep up with the pace

Instructional hours log automatically as your child works, mastery is tracked per skill, and a transcript prints in one click, so a fast month and a slow month are both on the record without you writing anything down.

What this is not

  • There are no live classes, no scheduled teacher and nobody to call during the day. That is the trade that makes the flexibility possible.
  • It needs an internet connection. There is no offline mode.
  • It is not fully hands-off. Expect to spend real time each week reviewing progress and sitting with whatever your child got stuck on. Below roughly third grade, a child still learning to read needs you beside them.
  • It is not accredited and it does not issue a diploma. It prints a transcript of what was taught and mastered.
