No lesson plans to write
Open-and-go homeschool curriculum
Clareza Academy is an open-and-go K-12 homeschool curriculum: the whole year is already sequenced, Clara, the teacher built into every lesson, does the teaching for reading, maths and every subject from 3rd grade up, and the questions grade themselves. There is no lesson plan for you to write. The one place it asks more of you is kindergarten to 2nd grade science and social studies, and this page says exactly how much.
The year is already planned
Every course is laid out as a scope and sequence: units in order, skills in order, objectives written down. The work of deciding what comes next and whether the year is complete has already been done. The scope and sequence page shows every course and every unit in teaching order on one printable page.
Clara does the teaching
For reading, maths and every subject from 3rd grade up, Clara introduces the concept, asks the questions and explains what went wrong in a wrong answer. The questions grade themselves, so most days you are reading the dashboard rather than sitting through a lesson.
Your daily part is a few minutes of reading
From the parent side you can see what was worked on, what was mastered and what was struggled with, and open any lesson to read the whole conversation between Clara and your child. Reviewing the day is reading, not re-teaching.
Kindergarten to 2nd grade, honestly
Two of the four K-2 subjects are different. Science and social studies are short hands-on activities you lead together, such as ice cubes, a treasure map or a family story, with Clara only for the five-minute check-in after. Each lesson lists exactly what it needs before you start, and it is almost always something the household already has.
Nothing to buy before you start
There is no required workbook or kit. From 3rd grade up everything runs on-screen, so the real requirement is a device with a browser. If you want printed practice, a regular printer and paper covers it.
The records are part of the box
Instructional hours log automatically as your child works, mastery is tracked per skill as a portfolio record, and a transcript prints in one click. Open-and-go stops being open-and-go if you spend Sunday night rebuilding the week for a state notice, so that part is done too.
What this is not
- It is not fully hands-off. Expect to spend real time each week reviewing progress and sitting with whatever your child got stuck on. Less time than teaching, not zero time.
- Younger children need more of you. Below roughly third grade, a child who is still learning to read cannot run a lesson alone.
- It is not a boxed paper curriculum. It runs in a browser and needs an internet connection; there is no offline mode.
- It is not a classical, Charlotte Mason, unschooling or literature-based curriculum. It is a standards-aligned sequence with a teacher built in.

Questions parents ask
Is there an open-and-go homeschool curriculum that needs no lesson planning?
Yes. Clareza Academy is a K-12 curriculum where the year is already sequenced and Clara, the teacher built into every lesson, does the teaching for reading, maths and every subject from 3rd grade up, with questions that grade themselves. K-2 science and social studies are short hands-on activities you lead, and each lesson lists what it needs.
How much do I have to do each day?
From 3rd grade up, most days you are reading the dashboard rather than sitting through a lesson. Kindergarten to 2nd grade asks more of you in science and social studies, which you lead together.
What supplies do I need?
Almost nothing bought specially. The K-2 activities use things most households already have, and each lesson lists what it needs. From 3rd grade up the requirement is a device with a browser. There is no required workbook or kit.
Can I see the plan for the year before I start?
Yes. The scope and sequence page shows every course and every unit in teaching order on one printable page, and every course is readable in full with no account and no card.
Who grades the work?
The questions grade themselves, and grades on the transcript are derived from mastery rather than assigned by you.
