A comparison written by one of the two
Clareza Academy vs Beast Academy
We make one of these, so read this the way you would read any comparison written by a seller. What we can do is be specific about our own product, accurate about the shape of theirs, and honest about where they are the better answer. Their current price is on their site, not on this page, and the reason is at the bottom.
What Beast Academy is
Beast Academy is an elementary math program from Art of Problem Solving, taught through comic-style guide books and an online version. It is known for hard, puzzle-like problems and is aimed at children who are strong in math or ready to be stretched. Art of Problem Solving has courses for older students after it.
The pricing difference that actually decides it
Beast Academy is sold as books by level and as an online subscription. Check their site for current options.
Clareza is $29 a month for every child in the household, month to month, with no per-child seats and no course limits. That is $348 a year whether you have one child or four, or $290 a year on the annual plan. The first 30 days are free, a card is taken and nothing is charged until day 30, and cancelling before then costs nothing.
The comparison to run is the same either way: monthly price, times the number of children, times twelve.

- Your child loves math and wants it hard. Beast Academy is built for challenge and problem solving. Clareza math follows a grade-level sequence aligned to the Common Core, not a challenge or competition-style program.
- Your child is gifted in math and you want a path toward Art of Problem Solving's advanced courses. Clareza ends at Precalculus and Statistics.
- You only need elementary math. Beast Academy focuses on that.
Where Clareza is different
Built for every child, not only the strongest
Clareza math is grade-level work with a teacher who explains each mistake, so it suits a child who is behind or on track as well as one who is ahead. A child can be placed in a different grade for math.
Kindergarten through Precalculus
The math sequence runs from Kindergarten to Precalculus and Statistics, so it does not end with elementary school.

Questions parents ask
Is Clareza as challenging as Beast Academy?
No, and it is not trying to be. Beast Academy is a challenge program for kids who love math. Clareza is grade-level math with a teacher built in. For a math-hungry child, Beast Academy is often the better fit.
Can I use both?
Yes. Some families use Beast Academy for math and a full curriculum for the other subjects.

Why there is no price for Beast Academy on this page
We checked in September 2026 and the sources contradicted each other, including the companies' own pages against the review sites. Publishing a competitor's price that turns out to be wrong is unfair to them and useless to you, and any figure here would be out of date within a month anyway. Ours is above, because it is ours and we can stand behind it. Theirs is one click away, on their site, where it is current.
